I haven't been keeping up on my blog at all! I know I've missed a LOT of pictures for my Picture-A-Day project, but I will catch up on it this weekend.
Time is an interesting thing. Every time we don't have it, we want more. Every time we have too much, we wish it would speed up. How much time do we really need, and what would we do with it, if it was unlimited?
I know what I would do! Here's my top five.
1. Learn. I would get a degree in every subject that interests me, and even teach my professors a few things. We grow from knowledge, and even more from applying that which is learned to the world around us, making it a better place.
2. Plant a full on garden. While I already grow my own herbs and some flowers, I would like to have a garden like when I was growing up: Vegetables, flowers, fruit. I'd like to have the time to cultivate it and make it look like somewhere that's not the desert: a literal Oasis.
3. Yoga, yoga, yoga! Those poses I struggle with now? Cake! In my limited experience with the practice of yoga, even I have come to learn that it's just that: Practice. I would like to have the time to really work on the poses I've learned, perfecting them to my ability and build on them, working more towards being a more advanced practitioner.
4. Cooking guru, anyone? I love to cook. My family is full of amazingly talented cooks, from my mom's (who cooks better than your own mom??) traditional fare to my sister's phenomenal baking, something I've never had an affinity for. If I had the time, I would love to practice, especially healthier dishes!
5. Family Traditions: Jeni Style! I am a stickler for anything to do with my family: Heirlooms, pictures, history, traditions. I have a book I started that's full of history, old fashioned remedies, a family tree... all kinds of fun filled things about my own makeup. It would be nice to have the time to add to it more often.
If you had all the time in the world, what would you do with it?
